Work Experience

Jastr (06/15 - 07/15)

Position: Full-Stack Developer

Location: New York, NY

  • Worked as an unpaid developer for this startup hidden in Brooklyn
  • Built a web SaaS MVP in the MEAN stack (became fluent in less than a month) for some really cool tech – think Internet of Health
  • Very small team (only three other developers--one being an intern)

TradingScreen (06/14 - 08/14)

Position: Software Engineering Intern(Java)

Location: New York, NY

  • One of four developers that worked on the FX team of the firm’s TradeSmart platform, a multi-asset execution management system for individual traders and firms of all sizes
  • Created a new FX simulator in Java from the ground up that is currently being used for demo and testing purposes
  • Maintained relationships with several firms and their development teams (e.g. JP Morgan, Barclays, Natixis, etc.)

ProctorCam (05/13 - 08/13)

Position: Software Engineering Intern(Full-Stack)

Location: Boston, MA

  • One of four developers that worked on the startup’s SaaS both on the front end and back end (Actionscript, C#, CSS, HTML, Java, Javascript, Rails)
  • Transitioned from being a monolingual C++ developer to a full-stack developer within a month
  • Worked in a dynamic environment in which we shared the floor with eight other startups
  • My final project was a demo app built in Backbone.js that demonstrated the remote proctoring workflow, with the purpose of presenting it to prospective clients
